I have an old card (the 600x400 kind) and I want to install a better one. Problem is, my old card runs into my motherboard. I have a slot where the other cards (sound, etc) available.

if I get a card with the slots, could I install the card (where the open slots are) and disable the old card or would I need to do something alot more?

    Thanks

You would disable the onboard video in the BIOS, power down then install the video card into a slot.
