I run a dual boot of Win 7 (64-bit) and Win XP (32-bit). I have Firefox 46.0.1 installed on both systems.

Booted to Win XP, ViaMichelin runs just fine, searching a route from "Malmö, Sweden" to "26446 Friedeburg, Germany ".

Booted to Win 7, a java script runs itself to death and a message from Firefox states a "problem with the plugin container" or words to that meaning.

Could someone, please, test on the combination Win 7 and FF 46.0.1 and see if a script error is generated?

Who said Win XP is dead ... ;) ... it works better than ever since MS stopped updating it ... ... !

Just tested on my win7 w/ latest ff, no problems.
    I don't have flash plugin.
Most likely you have some plugin that is outdated or conflicting.
As far as I can tell from the page's source code no plugins should be needed to view the page.
There is an ad atop the page and it may use Flash if the user has it installed.
Try disabling plugins and view the page again. Then enable them one at a time & see what happens.

I took two screenshots of the listed plugins:

FF plugins XP: The two at the top are always activated, the rest upon request.

FF plugins W7: The three at the top are always activated, the rest upon request.

    On XP, I have installed - jre-7u80-windows-i586 - install_flash_player_21_0_0_213

    On W7, I have installed - jre-8u92-windows-i586 - install_flash_player_21_0_0_213

The other plugins listed, have been "dumped" by the FF installer (who else). I'll try and disable them one at a time.

A closer reading indicates that on Win XP, the "OpenH264 ..." plugin has yet to be installed and on Win 7, the "OpenH264 ..." and the "Primetime Content ..." plugins have yet to be installed.

The only plugin actually running is "Shockwave Flash" which I assume was installed by Yours Truly and it is the 21_0_0_213 version. (Version 21_0_0_242 is available but I have not installed it.) Disabling it "cured" the problem with ViaMichelin but after reenabling "Shockwave Flash" ... ... ViaMichelin still works fine.

Time will tell if it stays that way.

(Maybe neither Java nor Flash Player / Shockwave Player is needed on Win 7 and FF?)

Well, it seems to be a random behaviour. I shut down the computer and went away for a few hours. When I came back, I restarted. The first run of ViaMichelin hung on the script but after closing Firefox through TaskManager and restarting Firefox and relaunching ViaMichelin, it worked fine.

I'll disable Flash and do a few restarts to find out what happens.

I try to keep it clean and uninstall the previous version prior to installing a new version.

Now ... ... I remembered to disable Flash!

A late feedback but since the most recent versions of FlashPlayer, it (the most recent versions of Firefox) works fine with Via Michelin!

Have you tried it with another browser just for the heck of it?

I have tested IE11 - Via Michelin has worked fine with the tested version (don't recall which) of FlashPlayer.
