"The Ordinal 11 could not be located in the dynamic link library DSOUND.dll "

I cannot play any games...nor open any media file because this error message will come up.

I have tried restoring my system back a few days but it didn't work. I used Norton to do a system check but nothing came up. I did a virus scan and spyware scan and nothing.

I have XP Pro (Service Pack 2) with P4 HyperThreading, 2048MB DDR RAM, 256MB Graphics Card, 120GB Western Digital.

This generally means that either you have the wrong version of DSOUND.DLL, or one of the supporting drivers for your sound card is very out of date.

    I recommend an
    Code:
    SFC.EXE /SCANNOW
