My system stops for 30 seconds displaying this message before continuing the boot sequence. I read where this is just for network storage, is there a way to disable it?

I'm pretty sure the answer would be no. Usually, this operation occurs fairly quickly. And, it's either successful and the boot continues or it hangs and you're left scouring the internet for cryptic solutions that don't usually work.

My guess is that your DMI pool operation is being successful but that one of the following operations (e.g. a driver loading) is causing a delay in your boot. It just happens that the DMI message is still visible on your screen.

I would try and research the ability to log what is happening (in detail) when you boot. Hopefully, you'll find some error/problem, possibly with a device or driver, that is slowing things down.
