I'm writing a program in which one of the procedures creates a new file in the program files/client folder. It was working fine but now it throws up error 70 permission denied when the program tries to create the file. I've tried changing the attributes from read only by removing the checked box but everytime I recheck the attribute it defaults back to the read only setting. I'm not sure if this is where the problem is or not. I don't have any instructions in my code to tamper with the attributes. All the database files are closed at the time the file is to be created. I use the filesystem object to copy the source file to the destination file. I'm at a loss as to why the read only attribute can not be changed. Any ideas?
