Various Problems

I've had this weird problem for a few days now. One would be, Google keeps redirecting to some different site when I try to look up anything. Another would be that, I see iexplore.exe and WLLoginproxy.exe popping up at the same time, I hardly use internet explorer. I've used superantispyware and AVG but nothing turned up. I'm not really pro with this kind of stuff, so it'd be appreciated if you'd help me with this.

Also some sites won't work properly for me, I've checked the useful information sticky but I can't view the site for some of them it just says "Unable to connect ". (panda active scanner and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware )

Download ComboFix by sUBs from here, saving the file to your desktop.

Important! ComboFix.exe must be on your desktop!


Please disable realtime protection applications as they sometimes interfere with the tool. Check this link for your applicable programs.

• Close all open programs and windows
• Click Start>Run and type or paste the following command.
  
  "%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe" /skipfix
  
  
• ComboFix will run ..... follow the prompts.
• It may reboot your computer and resume running when you logon. Wait for it to complete. When finished, it will open a log for you. Post that log and a new HijackThis log in your next reply.

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

 

the combofix link didn't work, but I got a friend of mine to download it and send it to me.
I'm sorry for the really late reply but, combofix isn't really working.
when I run it, it just pops up a loading bar and says I have a rootkit runnning and needs to restart. and when it restarts nothing happens after that. I don't get a log.

Please try to run ComboFix by just double clicking the icon. Again, make sure you disable your realtime protections.

BTW, I see you have both Symantec and Eset antivirus applications installed and running. This is not a good idea. They can conflict with each other and actually offer you less protection, as well as a host of other possible issues. I recommend you uninstall one of them.

 

Hmm... I tried running combofix by clicking it for a few times now and nothing pops up. Just a loading bar and it just disappears, I hear a beep, it says it detects a rootkit running, restarts. nothing happens. Is there anything else I could do? I disabled my eset antivirus before I ran combofix.

 

Delete the copy of ComboFix you have and download it again. This time, after you click Save on the download dialog, give ComboFix a new name, then save it to you drive. Something like Combo-Fix.exe or FomboCix.exe
Try running it again now.
