    Hello Everyone,

I was surfing the net using Google Chrome when all of a sudden my screen went BLACK. I rebooted and when the windows loading screen appeares the LCD monitor has green dots all over it. Then the windows loading message goes away but the green dots on a black background stay and that is it, windows will not load and there is no further activity. This happens on all reboot trys. Also the dots can be seen in the background when I go into the laptops BIOS settings.

Has anyone had any experience with this or a simular problem? I am thinking it is either the Bios or graphics hardware.

Any help would be appreciated. I have done a full wipe and restore using my viao recover disks but all is still wrong and I cant complete the windows installation as Vista will not start.

    Thanks,
    Robert.....

Hi and welcome to the BBS.

Have you set "defaults" in the BIOS? (Sometimes F9)

A reset on most (a lot?) of laptops is to disconnect any power (remove the battery) and hold the power button down for 30 seconds or more.
