Can the Backup procedure be programmed not to backup other Hard Drives connected in the computer. At present all the Hard drives installed, backup all contents to the selected hard drive for the backup. I only wish to backup the "C" contents. Can this be achieved? Thank you.

    Hi BobbyScot,

How to back up Windows 7 safely

Hope this is what you want. Neil.

How To Use Backup and Restore in Windows 7

As near as I can gather, the Drive that you have in use is the one that will be backed up. Someone else may confirm/deny this. I would imagine that if you had 3 or 4 Hard Drives in your comp that only C: drive will be backed up as that is the one issuing the instruction.

retiredlearner, in this case I have four hard drives connected to computer by USB2. Last Windows Backup took a lengthily time to complete (5hrs). Checking progress over that period, showed other HD's were being saved to selected lettered drive (J). Backup also included a System Image. Thanks Bobby.

To be honest, I completely forgot the procedure of how to Backup the C drive. In Window Backup, I did not check of having clicked let me choose and unlicking box [Include System Image] then saving settings. As you become older it appears you forget many procedures and depend on people at Windows BBS for their help. Thank you.
