    Hey Guys,
I have a wireless modem/router with one pc wired in and the other (about 11 meters away) using a Netgear wireless USB stick. Thing is - the wireless pc shows a signal strength of 'very good' occassionally down the scale to 'not connected' too often.

I know this is prolly a stupid question, but I have another modem and wanted to know if it's possible to use both modems on the one phone line as there is a phone jack in each room?

    Hello Den,

Have you tried using a different channel on the wireless connection?

    Hey Matt,
I'm a little new to wireless but I'll look at that option.

Regards my OP - I realised how stupid the question was later when it hit me that once you log onto your ISP with one modem, you CAN'T with another modem...DOH!!!!

If you have a few brick walls between the wireless connections, you might be paddling up that creek. My sister has double brick walls and I only get a weak signal from virtually only a few feet away.

Can you run a LAN/Ethernet cable through the crawl spaces in the house?

If you are stuck, investigate "IP over Power" where the network can run through the power (electricity) connections in your house.

    Matt
