Now that the Windows Media Center is eliminated from windows 10, I can't play the tv on my computer anymore. I have a ATT Wonder tuner card on the computer. How can I use the tv tuner on windows 10?

Would that be an ATI card?

What I have is ATI Wonder tv tuner card. I have downloaded and setup Media Portal and KODI (XMBC) on the computer. I have NextPVR. But I can't get the next PVR to recognize the channels on my cable, although it recognizes the TV Tuner card (ATI BDA Digital tuner, also analog tuner). Nor do I seem to be able to get KODI to access the NPVR as an add-on. I am still struggling.

I tried the suggestions made in this link with NPVR. But I didn't have much success. The NPVR would recognize the my card but was unable to record the channels on the cable with the card. Windows 10 system, however, doesn't see the TV tuner card.

I also tried to install Vista as a guest in Virtual Box, but there too I only confronted failure; because the card was not recognized either by the Catalyst software or Windows Hardware add devices. So I am stuck.

I put in another query in Windows software section as well as in Virtual Box forum -- hopefully someone somewhere knows the solution to this problem.
