Seems like i cant apply changes to computer configuration at my server either.

Im using Novell and gpo there, not AD. From the novell tools i can only set user configuration, which is ok, but....

When just opening gpedit local on the server, i want to do a few changes like do not show last logged in username etc..

What happens is that everything is reset whenever the server restarts..

    Got any ideas?

Don't know Novell but with Windows AD, if there are settings being pushed down from the server and different local settings, the domain ones over-ride the local ones. Could you be seeing something like that?

Nope, there's only on policy pack in novell, and thats the user configuration..

However, that is only loaded when certain users logs on, not when the server boots. So novell isnt pushing anything down to the server.

(Tried to do the same changes on a virtual win2k3 server, and it worked. So we're currently trying to find something on the novell client or zenworks.)
