Using Admin. and User Accounts

Just read MS document about how to use Admin. and User Accounts. I have been using only one account, the Admin., and re the document - this is not an advisable thing to do. So created a User Account, passworded both. But to my dismay most of the files on Admin. I cannot get transferred, copy/pasted, dragged into shared files, import/exported into the User Account.

I am a teacher and have a tremendous amount of work files on my PC as well as many many Favorites educational sites. Is there something I am missing re trying to utilize the User Account easily?

My computer stats:

Dell XPS 400 computer
WindowsXP Pro, Version 2002
2.79 GHz and 2.00 GB of Ram
Pentium (R) D CPU 2.80 GHz

Is there anymore I can provide to enable anyone to help me?
