I use Revo Uninstaller Pro to remove Junk Files from my computer and this it normally does satisfactory. My last scan shows three entries, is unable to remove as it states that Windows 7 or other third party are using these files, files located only on the "C" drive. Further checks show that third party is AVS Media Player.
Can these files be removed by another method?

Odds are they are in use and should NOT be removed.

Yes I agree that references be left alone, but would like shown list of references removed from view as list could be lengthened in time.

Is that program installed on your computer?

If you have uninstalled it there may be left overs - OTOH AVS may be in your start up folder - or elsewhere.

Run msconfig and see if the files are listed under Start Up.

AVS Media Player is installed and is set as default. Msconfig was run but showed no reference to AVS Media Player. Junk files refer to :
    C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\~FontCache-
    FontFace.dat 16MB 26/02/2013.

    C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\~FontCache-s-1-5-21-2449040160-2881971430-1000.dat 8MB 26/02/2013.

    C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\~FontCache-
    System.dat 486.13KB 4?03/2013.

If your initial research is correct ....
and as AVS is installed and you have linked them to AVS I would suggest that they are required files i.e. the font cache for AVS.

Programs like Revo are not faultless - Revo may think they are junk files whereas in reality they are not.

IMHO leave well alone - cleaning out the so called junk files is unlikely to positively affect the performance of your computer.

PeteC as you say, most probable files in question are not termed as "Junk" other than by Revo. Files of this nature will just have to cramp up space on screen and be of annoyance to me. I contacted Revo on this matter, no help was forth coming.

Further checking as to cause of this error, shows that each junk file is empty of any data. Error is not eminent when IE 9 is installed but surfaces while IE10
is current. To remove error permanently! installed IE9 as default.
