I have a new computer at home running XP. After loading Office Suite XP I was able to access all programs as administrator, but my family accounts can not access Powerpoint or Word. They are also experiencing problems running Explorer on a newly installed cable modem.

All family members need rights to Word and Explorer, but only certain indidivuals need Excel and Outlook. I don't want to give the children administrator rights, and I certainly don't want to reinstall Office in each individual's folder.

How do I move some programs to the indivual users' desktops?

    Thanks.

XP-home or XP-pro? This is one of the many cases where the two behave very differently and your "fix" will be different.

And does each person have his/her own account to log on?
