On my home Win2K Pro system, I have a few different user accounts for various family members.

I've setup disk quotas for individual users, but how can I grant or revoke permissions to a specific drive, such as a CD-RW drive? or is this even possible?

One problem I'm having right now is all my 'User' accounts do not have 'write permissions' to the CD-RW, so when they go into Nero, it pops up a message saying that they need access permission, or something similar, in order to burn the CD. However, I have no idea how I'd go about doing this.

Now, as well, I have a ZIP drive attached to my system for my personal files and whatnot, but do not want to allow other users to see the device itself, so if they get ahold of one of my ZIP cartridges, they would not be able to access the drive itself to see what's on it.

Any ideas on how to go about doing this?

    Thanx,

    - skubik.

This may or may not be true, but in order to burn a CD, you must have local administrator rights. This is just what I've seen before with my system.

Yeah, that's right... so I suppose there's no way to grant or deny access to the device itself, right?
