    Hi
Windows XP is asking me for a user and password before access. The cancel option is greyed out and if I click OK I get a message that the user name and password is incorrect. I used a program to disable the welcome screen so I would imagine its something to do with that. How do i logon to windows now? Ive tried the user names with no password to no avail.
    Thanks
    steve

Try Safe Mode and log on as Admin for which you presumably know the password? Then go Start > Run > type control userpasswords2 > OK and see what you can sort out from there.
