Another person I know fell victim to the MS Support scheme. Of course, when they wouldn't pay, a password was placed on the computer and the user is locked out.

The last time this happened to someone I was able to break the PW they crook imposed by using Active Password Changer on my Hirens disk. I tried this today and it didn't work.

There are 5 accounts on the machine: Administrator, Barry (the owner), Guest, Default Account and HomeGroupUser$

I am wondering if breaking the password on any of the other accounts would do anything. I didn't want to try before posting here in case there was a better suggestion.

    Thanks for any input.
