User Agent Switcher

Does anyone have any comments about the FF add-on?
Windows Secrets recommend using it.

 

I used it many years ago. It fakes the description of the browser which you use. So, while using Firefox, you may tell that you are using Internet Explorer. In the old days, programs like Netscape7 and Mozilla were not accepted, especially, by banks. So the extention was a way to use your preferred browser, but telling that you were using a different one.
It is not necessary, any more, as Firefox is accepted, and there is the IE Tab extention.
I have not read the Windows Secrets argument for the recommendation.
