I'm using XP and i have two user accounts with the 'Use Fast User Switching' option set. But if I have been logged into my account and the the other user logs in to their account after about five minutes use my account get's logged off and all programs that I was using get closed down. I'm sure there must be a registry setting that will allow both sessions to be logged in at the same time.
I recently had a malware problem which got resolved and it's since then that tis problem has occurred. I don't have any restore points prior to this problem, so any help wuld be appreciated.

I've seen a couple of these, and it always started happening after a virus infection.

My advise: Backup your documents, format & start from scratch!

I was hoping for something less drastic, but if that's the only answer

    Arie,
Have got to the stage where reloading Windows XP, but after about 5 minutes it asks me to insert the CD labelled Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 CD. I don't have one, I tried downloading the SP from Microsoft and burning that to a disk but it doesn't seem to like it

    Any suggestions

Which to me indicates you are not performing a fresh install, but rather a repair or (worse yet) just installing another copy of XP "on top" of the existing one.

You should boot off the XP CD (don't let it boot from the hard drive), and format your hard drive, then you'll get a clean install.
