    Hello,
I have no problem with log on but when I tried to access to my user account (Control Panel-User Accounts-User Accounts) then there is a message says "The user account is no longer recognized ". My account is administrator type. I still can install programs and do everything else but I need to restore my profile in the user account so I can add new account for new users, change account type etc. Right now, I am stuck.

    Please help.

    HQ612 - Welcome to the Board :)

Your account may be corrupted in some way - it is not clear from your post if you are logging on with the Administrator account or with an account that has administrative privileges.

Unfortunately XP Pro which I run and XP Home differ in the way that a new account is created, but take a look at this and see if the procedure for XP Home works for you ....

How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile

If you are not logged on as Administrator as opposed to a user with administrative rights try logging on as Administrator - in Home this can only be done in Safe Mode .....

How to login as Administrator in Windows XP?
