Use Outlook Express to access internet

This Internet Ignoramus would be grateful for any help to enable me to use Outlook Express to access the Internet.

I have been using AOL 7.0 which I start by clicking on its shortcut icon then entering my password. This, of copurse, works perfectly.

What I'd like, though, is to have Outlook Express to send e-mails, etc. as I am used to this at work. I've tried to use the Tools menu on Outlook Express with the Internet Connection Wizard but it asks for info such as POP3 server, SMTP & other technical details. If entering this information is necessary, where can I find it?

Otherwise, if someone could post an "idiot's guide" to achieve what I'm after then I'd be very grateful.

I'm running Windows 98, if that makes any difference.

Thanks, Aleekat. At least now I know that it's not possible, it'll stop me wasting my time (and that of other BBS subscribers) trying to do it!
