I had my computer worked on, and they re-installed XP. Now it appears that my USB devices are not communicating with my computer. Any help?

If they reinstalled XP, they should not be communicating. You will need to install the software for the devices like you did when you bought them. Reinstalling the OS makes the PC like it was new and that is the only thing on it.

and u should probably disconnect the usb devs and then proceed as each device's install instructions state. most devices should NOT be plugged in until the software install is done and directs u to connect them.

You're not specifying what the devices are.

For Printers/Scanners, you need the software as mentioned by Skeet and MrBill.

For flash drives/external drives XP doesn't require extra software in order for them to work.
