USB Problems

hi. i cant install my dell mass storage device properly. how do i?

 

Windows 98 is a pain with usb storage devices. Did you read the instructions carefully ? Does it say it has Win98 drivers ?
Try like this :
1. boot computer without usb device plugged in.
2. Start the usb driver install program that came with the drive (make sure it is the Win98 driver).
3. watch and read the install program directions carefully. At some point it will ask you to plug the device ... then maybe ask to unplug it and then maybe windows installer pops up ...
Just keep on trying if it don't work. On my usb thumb the windows installer pops up on top of the button that needs to be pressed at one point .. making it very confusing.
