I'm having some problems with one of the frontal USB Ports on my desktop. When I plug in a pen-drive or connect my cellphone to that port it is not detected. Only the wireless Internet USB stick works but often gets disconnected. Other ports are working fine & all of them are shown working properly in Device Manager. Also no virus or errors were found.

Most likely cause is damage to the USB port caused by constant insertion and removal of devices - this is not that uncommon.

Device Manager may indicate that the port is working properly, but that is only from Windows point of view - the drivers are loaded into the system.

You could check the connections from the front USB ports to the motherboard - generally a multitude of small connectors rather than a block connector.

Thanks. I have checked the connections from the front USB ports to the motherboard. The USB port can now detect all devices. But it takes a long time to detect the wireless Internet USB stick. Also the disconnection problem has been solved.
