USB or Parallel printer

    Hello,

    I have got a Laptop with no USB port and a USB printer, does anyone know if it is possible to use both?, is there any kind of adaptor?

    I am sure there is some kind of adapter, but I don't know for sure.
    Does your printer have both kinds of connections? My HP deskjet has can be attached through either USB or parellel (sp?) port.

    No, the printer has just the option of USB connection. I think, I will have to search for printer with both options. I have been checking in some stores and they say that is it possible to find a solution for PCs (getting a new port), but not for Laptops.

    I have just baught a new printer. In the manual it states that if you are using Windows XP you have to use the USB. Maybe this applys to only to the Lexmark printer, I don't know. The printer has both ports on it.
