    Hello,

I run a server 2003 at work, we used 10 backup tapes with different parts saved every day. ( very old ;) )
I got tired of walking home every day with 8 tapes of them. The Internet speed there is not enough to put a LAN elsewhere. So i took the cheap solution and got me 3 Seagate Expansion Portable 1 TB, is more than enough for the time. (used 30 % at he moment) So won on the server 1 at the shelf and won back home.
So everyday a other won at the server. Now is this no problem so long i make that change and log in on the server and give the drive a letter. But i want to see that the server makes that Drive letter active at every change, like that happens on my PC where alway the first free letter automatic is used and the drive is accessible. So hope somebody can help me out.

    Kind regards,

    Tom

    Hi all,
Found the solution, a small program usbdlm did the trick!
    Works perfect now.
I Use for the backup Fastcopy and start that from the task-manager, in won hour the compete backup is done and is quick accessible if something need to restore.
    Works great for now.
    Kind regards,
    Tom
