USB Mouse or Windows problem?

Hello, forum.

Problem:

I am unable to drag any object with my mouse (Images, applications, programs, ect.) on my desktop and in any folder in my computer.

I am able to click with my left mouse button and enter folders or start applications.

I am not able to double click with my left mouse buttons to view images through windows picture and fax viewer or play any mp3 files through windows media player through my left click button.

I am able to play music/videos through double clicking my left mouse button with alternate programs such as VLC Media player and also able to view pictures through IFRAN.

It seems most of the applications I am unable to use are windows related directly.

What I've tried:

(1) I ran this line because I thought the problem was with Windows picture and Fax viewer

Code:

regsvr32 /i  shell32.dll

The line was successful but it did not fix the Windows picture and Fax viewer problem. I was still unable to open pictures with my left click button.

(2) I tried Open with > Choose program > Windows picture and Fax viewer

I was still unable to open images with my left mouse button.

I then realized that I was no longer able to drag anything with my mouse anymore.

Here's the weird thing. I can view images through windows fax viewer only if I right click the image and open it with the program. But I can not double click the image to get the same result?

But then I get puzzled because I am able to double click any image or video file with my left mouse button as long as it's opened by another program that isn't windows related.

So I'm confused. Is it the mouse's fault or window's fault?

Equipment I'm using:

4000dpi Razer Precision Lachesis 3G Laserâ„¢ (Updated to latest driver)
Windows XP SP2

I've tried both a Standard logitech PS/2 Mouse and my current USB Laser Mouse and I'm still encountering the same problem.
