OK - I have a very old (in techno-age) computer - Pentium II 366mhz/Windows 98- which you lovely people have recently helped me put back into operating capacity in the Security section. Now I have a minor but bothersome problem.

I bought a usb hub (belkin - 4 port) because I only have 1 usb port and its on the back. However, I can't get it to work because I'm missing the driver. The driver is not on my Windows 98 disk. And, I don't know if its just me or if the Microsoft website is hard for everyone to navigate, but I can't find one on there either.

So, any suggestions on where I can get one and then where do I put it when I have it?

    Thanks

According to Belkin you don't need a driver or if you do it is on the Windows CD.

Alternatively you may find a solution here

Look at the last of the "Similar Threads" at the bottom of this page (you are looking at now).

You may have some luck with the "Add New Hardware" wizard (in the Control Panel).

If you haven't disconnected it yet, disconnect it, reboot to Windows. Shutdown. Reconnect it. Boot to Windows and try the A.N.H. wizard.

    Thanks

Thanks for the info. I will download and install the patch stuff and see if that works. The driver is not on the windows disk and ANH just tells me that I have a USB device installed but there is a problem because it does not have a driver. So, hopefully the patch will work.

    Thanks again.
