A USB sick stopped working all the sudden.
It is there but cannot be read.
I have been told that viruses attacking usb flash memory sticks are a plague.
I cannot seem to find any references to this in the literature.
Anyone have any info or anedecotal experiences.
Sure would be deadly for a business who thought that there backup data is ultimately safe.

Never heard of it... although that doesn't mean it could be possible :)

USB sticks are unsuitable for backup purposes: they are known to have high failure rates (particularly the cheaper ones)

    flash drive quality

I would of assumed that flash memory is a fairly generic item and that most flash drives would be fairly similar excepting really flimsy cases ??
