I have tried to install a Motorola USB Wireless(WU830G) adapter on my computer (Windows XP),it goes thru the installations steps, until I get the following message" Installer error, Failed to install signed IM Driver "
It is possible that I have a corrupt Windows installer? Then it will finished the installation, but the adapter will not work.
Your cooperation and assistance are greatly appreciated.

It is possible that the adapter is USB 2.0 and your computer does not have USB 2.0 ports and only supports USB 1.1. You would have to go out and get a USB 2.0 pci card and load the drivers that come with it, then install the adapter.

    USB Adapter Installation Problems

I think you are correct.Because I installed the adapter on another computer with USB 2.2 and no problems. The firs computer has only USB 1.1. I will get a PCI card USB 2.2 for that computer and that should solve the problem.
Thank you very much for your asssistance.
Take care and "the force be with you ".
