Have installed a USB 2 PCI card in my AMD 2ghz system ,on a Matsonic MS8137C+ Motherboard, running XP Pro.
I can,t get it to reconize the USB 2, it will run OK on 1.1 through the same card. All drivers are up to date.
It dose not appear in Device manager under other devices, but if I change the PCI slot that it is in the system loads and configures it ok but only in USB 1.1 on the USB Bus.

    help Please.

    USB2 enabled in your BIOS?

Go to Device manager and remove all the USB controllers and Reboot. Windows will re install them.

XP-pro, SP-which? I'm pretty sure that USB2 support was not part of the original XP release so unless you are running SP1 or SP2, you might need to visit the windows update site where you can get the updated USB support drivers as an update.

Note that a visit to windows update and a system that only has USB1.1 devices attached will not show you USB2 as a needed item.
