OK, I've shoot myself in the foot once again. I installed "Opera" and decided that I did'nt like it so I uninstalled it. Now I am unable to access short cut URLs. When I clik a URL I recv a box "program not found" saying that "Windows cannot find "Opera.exe ".This program is needed for opening files of type "URL-Hyper text transfer protocol" My question is how may I make necessary changes to allow short cuts to be operative? My knowledge of computers is limited. I appreciate any advice. TIA, eDummy

Asuming you have Internet Explorer installed, go to Tools > Internet Options and click the Programs tab. Make sure that the box Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser is checked.

You'd be prompted to make IE the default browser if this box is checked, and you open IE.

If that doesn't work, open Windows Explorer->Folder Options->File Types-> go to URL-Hyper text transfer protocol and change the open with to IE.

No problem... Since IE has around 90-95% of the browser market, that was an easy assumption :D

Glad you got it working again!
