URL in OE message

    When sending a message and I want to type in a URL to make it a LINK, I type the URL in but it does not HIGHLIGHT to become a link.

    I can copy & paste a URL in the message and it will highlight and become a link.

    It has always worked in the past -- don't know what I did to mess it up.

    Suggestions please,

    When starting a new mail message - click on Format. If the format is set to plain text - change it to Rich Text (HTML).

    If the format is set to Rich text before you type the address does that help?

    Give us an example of one of the urls if possible.

    I tried setting the e-mail to rich text (HTML) before typing the URL--no good

    The funny thing is I can Copy a URL to the e-mail and it becomes highlighted.

    I can also type e-mail addresses into the e-mail and they become highlighted.

    Examples of URL nascar.com google.com

    If you'll type www.nascar.com you'll get Much Better results.

    Thanks Steve,

    That did the trick---I've become so used to leaving off the WWW when I type in the address in IE7 I just carried it thru to the e-mail.
