Hi All, ........... An annoying condition exists where I can open a bank's login page with Internet Explorer but not with Mozilla 1.7.1 or the latest Mozilla Firefox. Using Mozilla I get the following screen message:

"We are unable to complete your request.
Error We're sorry, but the usaa.com page or activity you requested is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please try again later.
Click on your back button to return to the previous page. "

The strange part of this condition is that, when in Mozilla, if I highlight the address and click Enter, The login page opens.

The only address that this condition happens is:

    https://www.lc.usaa.com/inet/ent_logon/Logon

This is not a critical situation, just that I can't explain it or rectify it. Any suggestions? Thank you.

    Hi derfsch,

I first backed up to this URL: https://www.usaa.com/

It took me to this URL: https://www.usaa.com/secured/cp_login_redirect.asp
and after clicking on the member access tab, it took me to this logon.
    https://www.gc.usaa.com/inet/ent_logon/Logon?slashiis=true

I'm not sure I was in the right place or not. Can you get to where you wanted to go from these pages? I noted that you must have JavaScript enabled in order to use their pages. That preference is in:
    Edit | Preferences | Advanced | Scripts & Plugins
Enable it there, if you haven't already. Leave Mail & Newsgroups disabled, however.

"We are unable to complete your request ".

I got this using Ramona's link. The FAQs indicate that javascript is needed, and I have it, and cookies should be permitted. But, I discovered that if I allow Popups from usaa.com, I get the page.
So, go to Privacy and Security|Popups|Allow sites and Add:usaa.com
You don't need to enter the entire URL>

    Westside,

So what do you think, could this be an OS thing? I have popups disabled, and I didn't receive the message: "We are unable to complete your request ".

    Very strange...

Ramona: Javascript is enabled and the Mail and Newsgroups is disabled. The links you show are the same ones that I have been massaging for the past week: copying and pasting from the address line of Internet Explorer, old Bookmarks, etc. to no avail. The confusing part was that the login screen would open after highlighting the address and clicking Enter.

Westside: BINGO: Following your advice and adding the address to the Allowed Sites at the Popup Window screen permits me to open the bank's Login Screen from my Bookmarks.

Thank you both for your helpful interest. Apparently this situation developed as a result of updating the Mozilla browsers. Since I have been using the usaa address for years without getting involved with its cookie, and the techs at the bank did not suggest its use, it just didn't occur to me that it could be the problem's source. Let's hope that someone else having difficulty with a bank address can use this info.

Glad to hear that it helped. I am on a roll! I was just able to listen to music at icebergradio.com ( a Canadian music place). I have been in contact with their tech people, and they told me the usual useless stuff. I just allowed the site, and the player started to work.
