This is a new little app I downloaded thru WinXP News at

    http://www.winxpnews.com/rd/rd.cfm?id=030429TI-UpTime

Used from the command line, it reports the time since booting.

However, when used thru a shortcut, it shuts off as soon as it reports. I looked for the control in the shortcut that would disable this and allow me to look before shutting the DOS but could not find one.

Any other way of doing this??

Change the properties of the shortcut to something like:

    cmd /k C:\Windows\uptime.exe

    OR use systeminfo.exe (XP Pro)...

    cmd /k systeminfo|find "Up Time "
