I have Windows 2000 Professional computer

I have Lotus 123 3.1+ DOS based software [yeah it's old]

My ? is, my computer has the original browser can I update 2 a newer browser without impacting my Lotus software. If yes, what version can I update 2 and where/how do I obtain the newer version?

I had a new computer with Windows Vista Home, but gave it 2 my daughter because it would not run my Lotus software.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

The Lotus software should be unreleated to your browser...So in theory, you should be able to at least install IE 6 or IE7. What does Windows Updates offer?

Hi jdswink, Welcome to Windowsbbs! :)

To find out what version of Internet Explorer that you have, open Internet Explorer and then click Help< About. It will tell you what version on IE that you have installed.

If you don't have IE6 installed then download and install it from the link in Aries post.

Open up your copy of IE and click on HELP and then click ABOUT IE to see what version you currently have installed;)
