upgrading from the microsoft site?

    my question is this. i did not know that microsoft office had a seperate web page for updates so i went to it and installed the first service pack fine. then i went to install the second service pack and it ask's to find a file i cant remember which one right now but if it is need to be known i can find out. anyway i found the file it was asking for on the install disk and continued with the installation and got an install failed error. i have tried a couple of time and the install has failed every time. i don't know. any suggestions or help would be great. thanks

    In the absence of any other replies suggest you go here and download the Service Packs for your version of Office to HD.

    Run a repair on your existing install - Help > Detect and Repair - or - Add/Remove Programs > Office > Change/Remove and select Repair - or Re-install.

    If Office SP 1 is listed separately remove it first.

    Then try a re-install of the service packs.
