Upgrade issues

Couple of things with upgrade from 98 se to 2000 pro
1 The mouse works on some boots and not on others (ps2). If it doesn't I can put a usb mouse in the orig usb 1.1 slot and it will work. Mouse ok in dev mgr.

2 Added a usb 2 card and it recognized it in dev mgr also without any question marks, but it won't work when putting a card reader or something in the usb slot...any of the 4.

3 Didn't have this before. Minor thing. When going to shut down it goes to a screen eventually that says comp may be turned off now. Any way to by pass that and just shut down auto?

This is an older hp xe736 desktop with 600 mhz celeron, and 384 ram. thanks.

 

Updated drivers and now usb 2 works fine.
