    Hi all,

I need to update my version of SeaMonkey but I remember the brain damage I went through updating to 2.0 and unupdating it.

Anyway, I wish to avoid that, so here's my present setup: I have SeaMonkey installed on my D\ drive and I have the Mozilla folder (profiles\mail) also on the D\ drive, but it's separate (easier for me to backup). I try to keep as little on the C\ drive as possible.

I downloaded v. 2.5 and I'd like to know the easiest way to transition to it. Do I uninstall 1.8 first? Or, just install 2.5? What about my Mozilla Mail\Profiles folder? Are there different extensions I need to change (e.g. bookmarks, Inbox, etc.)? What else do I need to know to update?

    TIA

You don't have to uninstall anything. Seamonkey 2.x keeps its stuff in a location different from 1.x. You put it where you want it. I have, mine, in C:\Documents and Settings\mynamei\Application Data\Mozilla\SeaMonkey\Profiles.
If I remember correctly the profile for 1.x was in the mozilla.org/Seamonkey folder.

    Hi Westside,

I've gotta move my mailbox from C:\ to D:\. I've seen where and how to do it, but that's the last thing to do.

I really like that when there's a crash, I get a window that asks me to sent the crash report and asks if I want to restore everything the way it was before the crash.
