updating Norton Antivirus2000 to 2002

Hi all
I'm tring to update to the latest version of Norton Antivirus. I uninstalled the old one which was version 2000. I then restart and install the new one and everything goes alright untill the last update (via net) which updates the live update engine. It just will not accept this last update.
Anyone got an answer ?
Are there any old files that maybe left over from removing the old version?
