Resolved Update won't install

I keep restarting , manually installed but doesn't help, wondering if I need to reset pc

have you ran the trouble shooter for the updates??

 

There is a known issue with this update, it is NOT your computer and a reset is NOT necessary or recommended. The same problem with this very update can be found posted on numerous other forums. I would suggest hiding the update until MS has a fix for this.

I have that update installed successfully on 14th. March. There are 2 more (KB4088785 & KB4089848) cumulative updates to follow.

If you are set on Auto update - don't fret - the updates will eventually get through.
It has to do with the amount of traffic on the web, time of day, metered connections etc. and whether you are receiving parts of the update from other comps.
You could try a Restart to see if that helps. (Start > Restart,)
This quite often has the required effect.

 

Another headache was KB4090913, that MS has now fixed.

 

Again Bobby, mine installed on 9/03/2018 without any problems.

 

My copy installed 19:03:2018 with no problems too, but I had no part of it, installed on its own. This was different to two weeks prior, it kept failing. According to Microsoft support site, it appeared that many others experienced the same error. It could be, these people are also owners of HP OMEN computers!!!

Remedies makes interesting reading. MS reference to Anti virus, interesting, I use MS Defender.
