Windows Vista Update from 98 to Vista

    Im new here and not sure if this is the right forum for this question but here we go.

    I need help in a bad way.

    I am running Windows 98...I want to have Vista.

    My computer is hardware capable.

    How or Can I do this?!?!?!?

    The only way would be to backup all important data and wipe win98 off the machine...

    Ok...how would I wipe WIN98 out of my comp?

    Im not experienced in software manegement at all. Thanks.

    First, back up EVERYTHING that you want to keep to a CD's, DVD's, External Hard drive, or whatever.

    When you buy the Vista disk... BOOT from the vista disk, do not load into windows and then run the disk (you can change the boot order in the BIOS if it doesnt boot from the DVD). And by the way, Vista is on a DVD, so you will need a DVD ROM, I know a most if not all of win98 aged machines didnt come with a DVD-ROM.

    When you go through, just delete the partition, and create a new one, and boom, clean hard drive (you do this on the screen where it asks you to select which hard drive/partition you want windows on)
