When I upgraded to 7.1 that took care of several little bugs I had encountered with 7.0. That is except for one.

When using 4.xx, if you had an unsent message, you would get a pop up reminding you when you either logged off or re-started the browser. I have never gotten that with 7.0 or 7.1.

Had I not gotten something from a friend that I knew I had responded to, I would not have found that the message was still in the Unsent folder.

What happened between 4.xx and 7.0?

    Hi vegaspat,

Keep in mind that Netscape 7 isn't an upgrade for Communicator, and is a separate entity. Therefore, a feature or component in Netscape Communicator has nothing to do with Netscape 7, or its fetures/components.

So, does that mean I can't expect to have the alert that I have unsent messages in my mail box?

I guess if it doesn't bother anyone else I will just have to make sure I monitor my own habits.

    Thanks.

    Hi vegaspat,

Yes, you can opt to have Netscape Mail & NG's prompt you to send unsent messages. I left out the answer to your question! In Preferences click on Offline & Disk Space: When going online... I've not used the Offline option, so I can only assume that it will do what you want.

    Ramona,

I just checked and already had that option checked. Guess it just doesn't function. Oh, well.. Thanks anyway.

    Hi vegaspat

As Ramona, I do not use offline. Because of this anytime this subject comes up, I generally disengage brain.... so if I suggest something that is offwall, commonly known or already checked, just ignore this post.....
Does not "OffLine" require / use the "Local Folders" folder set seen in your screen view on the bottom of your folder sets in Netscape email . Possible there is a problem is these files that could be causing the problem.

Good point Dennis, and it is possible to create an Unsent Folder in your default mail account, although I'm not at all sure this would solve your program, vegaspat:

Clear the Location Bar, then type in about:config
Scroll down and look this entry:
    mail.default_sendlater_uri

If it is not listed then right click anyplace on the page.
    Select: New | String
Enter this information for the Preference Name: mail.default_sendlater_uri
You will get a second window asking for string value. Enter this information:
    mailbox://youremailaddress/Unsent%20Messages

Close Netscape, restart, and you should have an Unsent folder in your default Mail Account.

This works when you have only one pop account. It may not work with multiple accounts.
