My pc hard disk is partioned into a C and a E drive. The C drive is almost out of space how can I get it all into one partion without loosing what is already on the C drive.
    Regards Paul

There are 3rd party partition managers that can resize existing partitions. However, you would need to delete the E partition and turn it into free space so the C could be resized. There are risks in doing this though, such as data loss or losing everything completely.

You'd be better off trying to reduce the amount of stuff stored on C for now. Use Disk Cleanup to get rid of tmp files, windows updates, etc. Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup.

You can also move My Documents to E partition. Creat a folder on E and name it My Documents. Then rt click the My Documents icon on desktop > Properties > Move Button.

If I move my documents to the E drive as surgested will I be able to see them when I click on start?
I tried cutting and pasting My Pictures to the E drive but then I cann't see them when I click on start.

Suggest you use TweakUI (My Computer > Special Folders) to relocate My Documents and Special Folders, but read the note accompanying the dialogue.

Incidentally Partition Magic and no doubt Acronis Disk Director will merge partitions, but a current backup is strongly advised before performing this operation.
