    Hi,

When the Internet is on, a message comes "Performing off-line task"

Can you please explain as to what this message is all about and why I get this message when connected to the internet.

    Thanks,

    Ishan

What application is generating the message? Outlook Express? If so, do you use Outlook Express to access a Hotmail account?

Yes you are right, it is mostly Outlook Express that is generating this message.

Again you are right about me using the Outlook Express to access a Hotmail Account.

Thanks for the reply, can you please tell me the reason behind this.

    Ishan

OE when used offline in conjunction with a Hotmail or IMAP account will store tasks in the offline.dbx file. Tasks so stored are executed whenever a connection is established. The "Performing offline tasks" message appears during this process.

    HTH.
