Unknown folder in root directory

    I have a folder in C:\ named $WIN_NT$.~BT......I'm assuming it's related to a failed Windows Setup or a temp folder from a recent install. What is it and can I remove it? Thanks in advance.

    I think it's a folder which is created during the installation of the OS and which can be safely deleted (but back it up somewhere just in case!!!).
