unknown browser hijacker, hijack this log attached

Hello again,

Thanks for the help with the filost.com hijacker, computer working perfectly. However, one of my other computers now has an unknown browser hijacker. Browser is redirected to either count.cc or s13.remove.cc when I search for anything.

I am totally unable to bring up any websites. Below is the Hijack this log from that computer. Any help would be appreciated. I am running Windows 98 on that computer. Thanks.

Download the stand-alone CWShredder 2.0 from here. Save it to the desktop. Double click to install. Do not run it yet. We will run it later.

Download and run the Backdoor.Agent.B Removal Tool from Symantec. Follow Symantec's instructions for how to run it. Be sure to save the log file. I will need to see it later.

Restart your computer.

Open CWShredder from the new shortcut on the desktop, close ALL other windows and click fix.

Restart your computer once more.

Post a new HijackThis log and the log Symantec's tool gave you.

 

problem still present

I followed your directions, and the fix agent B did not give me a log. The problem seems to be better, but browser is still being rerouted about one out of 10 times I try to find a web site.

At least it is not every time . Below is my new hijack this log. Thanks for all your help.

Right click the desktop and choose new>folder. Name it HJT. Cut and paste HijackThis.exe to that folder.

Scan again with HijackThis and place a check next to the following entries. Close ALL other windows and click fix.

Reboot.

Open C:\Temp (if present), select all and delete.
Open C:\Windows\Temp, select all and delete.
Open C:\Windows\Applog, select all and delete. You will need to show hidden files and folders to see this folder.
Open the control panel, then internet options and delete the temporary internet files, checking the box for offline content.
Open My Computer and right click Local Disk C:, then choose disk cleanup. Check all boxes and click OK.

Surf a bit, then create and post a new HJT log.
