Some time bak I bought a Iomega Zip 100, being advised I could use like a floppy and transfer data from one machine to another, regardless of OS.

When I tried to use a Zip disk on another machine, that machine did not recognize it. (NT to 98SE OS)

A local person said it was because the Zips are OS specific. Seems to me that is balney, but am not sure. No trouble using floppys, so why the Zip problem?

    Ay suggestions?

It won't make any difference what OS the files come from. My guess is that the machine you're trying to copy to doesn't have drivers installed for the zip drive. Did you install them on that computer? If not, install the drivers and then give it a try.

    Now that makes sense...Thanks!

I honestly cannot recall if I did load drivers, but likely not, will give that a shot.

    Thanks, again.
