Uninstalling NT 7.1

Ramona,

Now that I have Mozilla 1.6 up and running, i'd like to uninstall Netscape from my system. After running the uninstall program in Control Panel, i'm pretty sure there will be certain files and directories left over on my hard drive that can be deleted as well. So that I don't delete something that Mozilla may be using, would you happen to know of all that should get deleted with the Netscape program?

These are the folders and Registry Keys that you can safely delete:

C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape 7 folder
C:\Program Files\Common Files\mozilla.org\GRE\1.4f_2003062408

If you aren't comfortable editing the Registry, then please don't! It will do no harm to leave these keys in place.

HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software\Mozilla\Netscape 7.1

You might want to back up the entire Netscape 7.1 Profiles folder before uninstall, just for a little insurance. Ensure that you have also made a copy of your plugins folder.
