I finally had it with Norton and decided to uninstall it. After following their directions for removing it after add/remove didn't work .. I manually searched out all reg entries pertaining to Norton and Symantec. Deleted all norton folders and files that I could find, Ran some cleaning utilitys that they have at their website and three different reg cleaners. Heres the problem: The new security center that came with SP2 still say's Norton is protecting my computer? I'm sure it's not but would like to get rid of Norton once and for all.
Anybody know what needs to be removed so the security center will not show Norton anymore?

    Thanks

I have heard in the past that RegSeeker does a good job of finding and cleaning up after Norton. Use the 'find in registry' function to search for, Norton, NIS, NAV and Symantec entries, then run it the clean mode repeatedly until nothing is found anymore. Reboot and run it in clean mode again. Do not be surprised if even that doesn't get rid of EVERY entry. Unsure anything but a format can do that.;)

    Hey Guy's
I've been all over Symantec's website and have done everything that they suggest not only for NAV 2004 but I took the risk and ran the NAV 2003 removal utilitys also! I currently have posts on Microsoft's newsgroups and other forums trying to find the answer? I also have used regseeker to do just what you describe and still no luck.

    Thanks
